During workshop, we will work around the topic of disease Covid-19. We are going to focus on the situation of nurses and medical staff as well as patients and their families in the time of pandemic. We want to discuss how students nurses have experienced the pandemic in their city or country and what problems and challenges have been faced with.

Using the example of the Emergency Department and Triage, we will discuss and compare the situation in the countries and clinics.

The starting point will be a short lecture on Covid-19 disease and triage in the emergency department in the Asklepios clinics. The triage instrument will be presented, which is used if more patients have to be ventilated than ventilators are available in the intensive care unit. We want to address various ethical questions and discuss them together.

Vaccination against COVID-19 and vaccination readiness of the nursing staff.

Here the following questions are going to be tackled: "Is there any ethical meaning in the fact that nurses want to be vaccinated or do not want to be vaccinated?" "Is it ethically justified for a nurse to refuse to vaccinate a patient if she/he does not accept this procedure"?

Best practice examples of dealing creatively with the pandemic in a clinical settings (based on the available literature and/or practical experience).

What has been done to improve the situation of patients and families in the hospitals and home environment, etc.?
